Alumni Task Force

The mission of the Alumni Taskforce is to develop the foundation for the School's first official Alumni Board, which will connect past, present and future GPH alumni through programming and networking activities that involve and promote the school and its mission.

Marzian Alam

Marzian graduated with an MPH in Policy and Management in 2018. She is a founding member of the Justice Initiative, a student organization that promotes criminal justice reform through a public health lens. As a student was awarded the International Student Leadership Award as well as the Social Justice Award for her work related to this cause.

Tori Chan

Tori graduated with an MPA-Health & MPH in Global Health in 2015. She is the Program and Partnership Officer with Partners in Health Liberia. She relocated to Liberia to help combat the Ebola-outbreak. She works alongside with the government to rebuild health systems post-Ebola. 

Suzanna Gim

Suzanna graduated with an MPH in Global Health in 2009. She is a clinical pharmacist at NYU Langone Medical Center and Associate Professor/ Director of International Affairs at Long Island University College of Pharmacy. She has developed interprofessional international experiences for students through the pharmacy program and continues to foster mutually beneficial international affiliations and collaborations. 

Natalie DeGraaf

Natalie graduated with a GPH MPH / MA in Global Health in 2013. She holds a BS in Biochemistry and MS is Science Policy. Natalie currently works as a Senior Program Manager and Team Lead for CRDF Globals Biosecurity team; managing a diverse health team to implement biosafety and biosecurity projects across the globe. Previously, Natalie spent five years working at the US Centers for Disease Control where she developed and managed programs that built national biosafety and biosecurity legislation around the world. 

Victoria Good

Victoria graduated with an MPH / MA in Public Health Nutrition. She is currently the Project Coordinator for the WorkWell NYC Initiative at the Mayor’s Office of Labor Relations. She is a founding member of the Club Nutrition Without Borders. 

Cori Hammond 

Cori graduated with an MPH in Community Health Science and Practice. She works currently as a Research Associate and Study Coordinator at the Center on Addiction here in New York City.

Keiko Honda 

Keiko graduated with an MPH in Social Behavioral Sciences in 2002 and continued to pursue her PHD In Cancer Epidemiology at Columbia University. She’s the President and Executive Director of Transdisciplinary Community Engagement nonprofit organization in Canada. 

Avanthi Hulugalle

Avanthi graduated with NYU GPH MPH/MA in Global Health with a specialization in Epidemiology in 2018.  She is currently the Director of Product Strategy and Client Success at OpenDoctor. 

Nodar Kipshidze

Nodar graduated with an MPH in Global Health in 2017. He is the Director of Clinical affairs and Biometrics at Endobar Solutions and Cardiac Implants. He is an active member of APHA and is currently a co-planner for a series of new scientific sessions for the upcoming annual meeting. Additionally, he is in a workgroup with the CDC and CSTE on the use and implementation of influenza/infectious disease forecasting.

Andrea Levy 

Andrea graduated in 2010 from NYU GPH with an MPH in Global health. She holds an MS in Speech Pathology and an MA in Education She is Program Manager of the Buen Provecho - Eat Well Initiative, a family nutrition education program at DOHMH and the Fund for Public Health NY. She oversees all aspects of this novel, grant funded pilot in East Harlem.

Donald Levy

Donald graduated with MPH/MA in Community Health Sciences and Practice.  He worked as Health Educator for several organizations and now is working as Science teacher in a high school.

Liza Martinez 

Liza graduated in 2017 with MPH/MA Global Health. She is currently the owner of Wee Compost, an organic Waste Management Curriculum Program. She was NYU student Ambassador and also the first president and the Co-founder of the Health and Human Right Association (HHRA). The HHRA was the first graduate student club at the GPH.

Marianne Olaniran

Marianne graduated in 2014 with an MPH in Global Health. She holds an MS in Health Sciences/Healthcare Management from George Washington University, and she completed coursework for the Quality, Patient Safety and Outcomes Research Graduate Certificate at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Marianne has worked in various health organizations including Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School, United Nations’ Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of Texas School of Public Health.
